The median annual personal earnings of Hispanics in Colorado beyond the age of 16 is $25,000 with a total of 18% who fall below the poverty line. Many Coloradan Hispanics struggle with everyday necessities such as rent, food, healthcare and transportation. The current economic state is especially critical for the 37% of Latinas who are the sole breadwinners for their families.
Women leading in business provides economic and social opportunities and increased control of their careers. The Latina Initiative amplifies the economic power of women in Colorado and uses our platform to push for economic policies that recognizes the value and contributions that women make to our economy. These policies include accountability for equal pay, access to education and fairness in business and career opportunities.
