MEET THE FOUNDERS
Katherine Archuleta
Katherine Archuleta began her career as a schoolteacher in Denver Public Schools and worked as a senior leader in local government for Denver Mayors Federico Peña and John Hickenlooper. She worked for the Departments of Transportation and Energy in the Clinton administration and was Chief of Staff to Labor Secretary Hilda Solis during the first two years of the Obama Administration. Katherine joined the Obama 2012 campaign as its National Political Director. She was appointed by President Barack Obama to be the first Latina to lead the US Office of Personnel Management in 2013. She is a founding mother of Mi Casa Resource Center, The Latina Initiative and The Women’s Foundation of Colorado. Katherine currently sits on the boards of the Denver Urban Renewal Authority, Conservation Colorado, and Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains Action Fund. She was selected as a 2020 inductee into the Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame.
Amy Sanchez Raaz
Amy Sanchez Raaz is a Denver metro area community leader with more than 20 years of national, state, local public sector and nonprofit experience. Her professional work includes fundraising and development, director of multiple congressional and issue campaigns, public relations and engagement and coalition building.

Her work at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee in Washington D.C. overseeing races across the county, prepared her to re-designed and manage Xcel Energy’s federal Political Action Committee and five regional state PACs. In 2006 she moved to Colorado to work on Ed Perlmutter’s first race for congress, raising more than any congressional race in Colorado at that time. Raaz has worked for multiple C4’s and C3’s as a strategist and strategic planner. She is particularly proud of her firm’s involvement with Business for Water Stewardship, Aurora Public Schools Foundation and the efforts of Tobacco Free Kids. Amy currently sits on the board of Great Education Colorado. She is a graduate of the Latino Leadership Institute at the University of Denver and holds a J.D. from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah.
